Actually, I believe in everything, including astrology and tarot cards. All of it is just another way for people to try and tighten the link to the spirits in our universe. I believe it exists for all people.
Billy Dee Williams
The real reason to use the Tarot Cards is pretty logical.
There are a lot of skeptics when it comes to anything we can’t measure in a lab. As a life long artist I have found that the ability to be open minded about as much as possible has extreme benefits.
After years of working with the cards I have had countless encounters with goosebumps and shivers down the spine, enough to personally have an experiential knowing that something interesting is going on.
The real reason to use the tarot for divination is to consult with the energies and vibrations that are all around us, and to be open to the “non-linear” vs “linear” thought process. In opening to this we gain a valuable new perspective. When looking at things in our life through our normal point of view (which is a deeply engrained habitual program) we might not be seeing clearly, or we may need to bring something we know deep down up to the surface to be truly faced.
Let’s look at the meaning of linear vs non linear thinking. Linear thinking is an analytic, methodic, rational and logical thinking style. A linear process moves forward like a line with a starting point and an ending point, and our brains often want to make simple straight connections in sequential order. This is more like a set program. While, Non–Linear Thinking is thought characterized by expansion in multiple directions, rather than in one direction, and based on the concept that there are multiple starting points from which one can apply logic to a problem.
This is the essence of imagination!
Here is where the Tarot comes in handy it simply presents us with another thought process around ourselves and loosens the grip of our habitual self referential thoughts. The habitual patterns are now disrupted allowing a potential break through or transformative epiphany. Shaking up our thoughts and habits contain a wealth of benefits!
Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.
Soren Kierkegaard
Changing your thoughts is a creative act, it’s magical.
Creativity is all about looking at something and reimagining it. It is a powerful tool to look at things in a new way, to look at our self in a new way. “Ask and you shall receive” this is the key. When we inquire about ourselves in a deeper way, with the intention that we might learn and grow, the universe will respond. It might not be what you expect, but things aren’t always what they seem…
Now to the best part, I’m happy to share that I offer a “Tarot Portrait Reading”, an original and fun art experience, that is sure to give you a new look into your self. Even if you don’t believe…there is no turning back foolish mortals get ready for your disquieting metamorphosis 😉
